My Name Is (3-Legged) Bobby

(scroll down for more photos of me!)

NAME: Bobby

SEX: Male

DATE OF BIRTH: Approximately April 2017

CHARACTER/HISTORY: We took Bobby in mid-July 2025 when we could see that a car accident had left him with a dead, dysfunctional front leg.

This injury made it very difficult for Bobby to move and get away from other dogs or dangerous people.

Though amputation is a very radical step and one we don’t take lightly, Bobby now has freedom of movement that was impossible after his car collision.

Bobby probably spent the first 8 years of his life as a homeless street dog in the nearby town of Kostinbrod, but Bobby now loves life around people in our main ‘Roaming’ area in our shelter.

Bobby is very agile for a 3-legged dog when normally the loss of a front leg is very difficult for dogs as they naturally put all their weight there.

Bobby loves the occasional human food treat and just chilling out around people.

He is also good with other dogs, very social and not dominant with new dogs he meets.

MEDICAL: Bobby has been dewormed, fully vaccinated and castrated.
